Bethany Kludt is an active young woman who has played sports for the greater portion of her life. She is a big fan of sports because their entertaining and competitive nature induces people to engage in exercise. Far too little people in America exercise on a regular basis, and the effects of this dilemma will be felt sharply if people do not correct their habits. Fortunately, sports are still inducing millions of new young people to exercise every day.
Sports have other intrinsic qualities that are beneficial, says Bethany Kludt. For one, playing sports help teach a child how to effectively communicate as part of a team. They also instill discipline within a child, as physical training such as cardio and weight lifting is a part of many sports. Playing sports also teaches a kid to put their own egotistical interests aside for the benefit of the team, if they want to a member of a winning team. A winning team simply cannot be comprised of selfish players; this is true of teams in the world of business and government as well. Bethany’s mom, Bethe Kludt, was her team manager on two of the BMX teams that she raced for and she had various other coaches including her father, William Kludt, to shape her into the person she is today. Athletes learn firsthand through experience what factors are most important to winning, such as clear communication and trust.
Bethany Kludt is grateful that she had the chance to be a part of so many enjoyable teams over the years. She also believes that her career in sports has prepared her well for her pursuit to become a nurse. Another thing that Bethany Kludt has learned by playing sports is that anything can be accomplished through hard work; the one who applies themselves the hardest will usually emerge victoriously.
